Frequently Asked Questions
How soon can I start? We normally only need a maximum of 3 days notice to start a course of lessons
Can i begin my practical in-car tuition without passing my theory test? Yes, all you
need is your provisional driving licence to get going - However, you are advised to book your theory test and begin preparing
for it with a purposeful and sincere intent, as soon as you begin your in-car tuition in order to boost your knowledge of
the road and set your goals and objectives right. If you need help with the theory questions and the hazard perception, simply
ask your instructor.
How long will it take me to pass? According
to the DSA, The national average from complete beginner to test standards is approx. 45 hours of professional training combined
with 22 hours of private practice; but this is just a national guideline and most of our pupils need less hours to reach pre-requisite
test standards. Please bear in mind that you have to pass the theory/hazard perception test before the DSA will give you a
practical test appointment. Can I have 2 hourly intensive lessons?
Yes, we highly recommend them, as we perceive
one 2 hours intensive lesson to be equivalent to two 90mins lessons in terms of benefit to the pupil. Also, We don't believe
in 1 hour lessons, they are tried and tested waste of time for you as a pupil more than us and hence decided to phase them
out.
Can I have more than one lesson each week?
Yes, the ideal way to learn is to have an
average of two lessons each week as you begin your tuition, then a maximum of three lessons can be even more beneficial for
some pupils.
Do you pick me up from my home or do I come to you?
We offer door-to-door service
from your home, college or place of work.
Are your instructors DSA registered?
Yes,
they are all DSA registered Driving Instructors
and have been CRB checked for your safety.
can I vary my lesson appointments if I work the
odd shifts/on a rota, etc...?
Yes,
simply book one or two weeks ahead to ensure you get the appointments
you want. By varying your times and days you will benefit
from experiencing different traffic conditions.
